You pick the file and say how many clips you want. Everything after that runs on our machines while you close the app — a push notification brings you back when the clips are ready.
Upload a file
Straight from your camera roll or Files. MP4, MOV or MKV, up to three hours depending on your plan. Uploads resume if your connection drops.

How many (1–10), roughly how long (15–30s, 30–60s, 60–90s), captions on or off and where they sit. That is the whole setup.

Transcribe, pick the moments, track the speaker for the vertical crop, burn the captions, render at 1080×1920. You see the real stage, not a spinner.

Speaker-tracked 9:16 reframe
A centre crop cuts heads off. Video To Reel detects the face that is talking and moves the crop with them, smoothed so it glides instead of jittering. Static shot, one subject: fixed crop. No face in frame: centre crop, honestly.

Every clip is listed with the line it was cut around and where it came from in the source. No invented "92% viral" numbers — you can read the quote and decide in a second whether it is worth posting.

The trial: one video, three clips, free
Every account gets one trial video of up to 15 minutes. You get 3 clips, they carry a small Video To Reel watermark, and they stay available for 48 hours — save them to your phone and they are yours to keep, watermark and all. No card, no auto-start subscription. One trial per account; re-uploading the same file on a new account will not get you another.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play (App Store on iOS), renew automatically until you cancel, and are cancelled in the store's subscription settings — never through us. Prices include VAT where the store charges it.

The questions worth answering
How are minutes counted?
On the length of the video you upload, not on the length of the clips you get back. Upload a 40-minute talk and 40 minutes come off your monthly allowance, whether you asked for three clips or ten. The app shows your remaining minutes on the home screen and again before every upload, and an upload is refused before it starts if it would not fit.
Re-rendering a clip — moving captions, changing style, trimming — is free and never touches your minutes.
How long are my clips kept?
Finished clips stay in the app for 30 days on a paid plan and 48 hours on the trial, then they are deleted from our storage for good. Save the ones you want to your camera roll — that copy is yours and is not affected by anything on our side.
The video you uploaded is deleted immediately after your clips finish rendering, not after 30 days.
Do trial clips have a watermark?
Yes. Trial clips carry a small Video To Reel wordmark in the corner. You can still save and post them. Every paid plan renders without a watermark, and clips you make after subscribing are clean — trial clips are not re-rendered retroactively.
Can I paste a YouTube or TikTok link instead of uploading?
No, and we will not add it. Downloading other people's videos from a platform breaks that platform's terms and Google Play's policies, and it is the fastest way for a tool like this to disappear. Video To Reel takes files you own from your own device. There is no downloader in the app or on the server.
What happens to my video on your servers?
It lands on a single server in Germany, gets transcribed, cut, reframed, captioned and rendered, and is then deleted — source file and all intermediates — as soon as the clips are published. The finished clips go to encrypted object storage and are served to your phone over private, expiring links. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
How long does a render take?
Jobs run one at a time on a real machine, so it depends on the queue and on how long your video is — typically a few minutes for a 15-minute upload. The app shows the queue position and an estimate based on how long recent jobs actually took, and it tells you outright that you can close the app: a push notification arrives when the clips are ready.
What if a render fails?
You get a plain explanation of what went wrong — no speech detected, unsupported codec, file longer than your plan allows — and the minutes are refunded to your allowance automatically. If something looks wrong that the app cannot explain, email [email protected].
How do I cancel, and how do I delete my account?
Cancel in Google Play (or the App Store) under subscriptions — that is the only place a store subscription can be cancelled. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
To delete the account itself, use Account → Delete account in the app, or do it here on the web at videotoreel.com/delete-account. It removes your account, your uploads and your clips permanently.

Android first, iOS next — the app is one codebase, and the App Store build follows shortly after launch. Everything described on this page works the same on both.
