How do you turn a podcast episode into reels?
Video To Reel is a mobile app, for iPhone and Android, that turns a recorded podcast episode into ready-to-post vertical reels. You upload the episode's video file from your own device — MP4, MOV or MKV — and Video To Reel transcribes the conversation, picks the moments worth clipping from what was actually said, cuts them, reframes each one to 9:16 around whichever host or guest is speaking, burns in word-timed captions and renders at 1080p. Every account gets one free video a calendar month, returned as 3 clips with a small watermark, from an upload of up to 15 minutes; paid plans return up to 10 clips per video, take uploads up to 3 hours long — long enough for a full episode — and render without a watermark. Finished clips stay in the app for 30 days on a paid plan and 7 days on the free one, then they are deleted. The episode file you uploaded is deleted the moment rendering finishes.
An hour-long episode is a 3-hour job for a human editor and about the length of one coffee for us. You pick the file, say how many clips you want, and close the app.

Why upload the file instead of pasting the episode link?
Your feed is audio, your reels are not
An RSS link gives us an MP3, and there is nothing to reframe in an MP3. Reels need faces. Upload the video recording your remote-recording tool already saved and the crop has something to follow.
The crop follows the talker
Two people on a call, one grid recording. A centre crop cuts both heads in half. Video To Reel finds the face that is speaking and moves the frame with it, smoothed so it glides rather than jitters between host and guest.
No downloader, ever
Pulling your own episode back down from YouTube or Spotify breaks their terms and app store policy. There is no downloader in the app or on the server, which is why Video To Reel gets to exist at all.

Questions podcasters ask first
How long an episode can I upload?
Up to 15 minutes on the free monthly video, 45 minutes on Starter, 2 hours on Creator and 3 hours on Studio. Minutes are counted on the length of the file you upload, not on the clips that come back, and they reset every month.
Can I use an audio-only episode?
No. Video To Reel produces video clips with a speaker-tracking 9:16 crop, so it needs a video recording to work from. If you record remotely, the video file is almost always sitting in your recording tool's downloads already.
Which moments does it pick?
It reads the transcript and cuts around complete thoughts — a claim, a story, an answer that lands — rather than chasing a virality score it invented. Every clip comes back with the quote it was built around and the timestamp it came from, so you can throw one away in a second.
Is there a free version?
Yes: one free video every calendar month, returned as 3 clips carrying a small Video To Reel watermark, from an upload of up to 15 minutes. No card is needed and nothing turns into a subscription by itself. Free clips stay in the app for 7 days; paid clips stay 30 days and have no watermark.
